It can be difficult to decide what exactly your skin can need, and a lot of times our bathrooms are littered with products that we’ve used once or twice and don’t love.
We don’t want that to be the case with Salima products ever, and so we take the time to answer as many questions as we can. This week, we want to focus on retinol and Vitamin A. These ingredients are important when it comes to getting rid of acne scars and keeping skin looking firm and smooth.
Retinal is part of the Vitamin A family and it promotes skin cell turnover, which is important to helping blemishes fade. It also helps helps diminish fine lines in the skin, leading to a more youthful look.
We have two products in our skincare line that were specifically created with retinal.
They are: Brightening Retinol 30 Cream and AHA Cream.
So what’s the difference? Both products target dark spots and can help alleviate lines in your skin, but they are not the same.
Brightening Retinol 30 Cream is targeted towards those with oily or acne prone skin and can be drying of the skin. We recommend using it as often as your skin permits. If you’re finding your skin to be dry after a couple uses, try using it 3-4 times a week and evaluate from there.
Vitamin A is important for all skin types, and it’s why we’ve made two distinct products with Vitamin A as an ingredient in order to cater to people with both dry/sensitive skin and acne prone/oily skin.
If your skin is more on the dry side, AHA Cream is the product that you would want to chose. It still contains Vitamin A, as well as Vitamin E and 6% lactic acid to gently exfoliate the skin, while encouraging skin cell turn over. It’s gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin, while still being effective
So which one is best for your skin? Send us a photo of you without makeup on, and we can help you decide.
